Challenge

Analog Devices needed to perform software testing and structural coverage analysis of the software algorithms used for high-speed audio and video encoding and decoding on the Analog Devices Blackfin family of processors. While they are not operating in a regulated environment with specific testing requirements, Analog Devices was trying to improve the efficiency and quality of their development process. Historically, testing was inefficient and numerous module-level bugs were found during integration testing.

Solution

Analog Devices used VectorCAST/C++ and VectorCAST/RSP to thoroughly unit test its application software resulting in improved efficiency and quality.
